This pelican sculpture, done by the WPA, had lost its beak, had lichens growing on it, was very dirty and had freeze-thaw damage.  We cleaned it, re-sculpted the missing parts from photographs and re-modeled the damaged surface areas.  We then made a mold of the re-constructed sculpture and cast it using concrete.  The original is now kept indoors to preserve it.  You can see the reproduction at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, Wisconsin.
